Red Hot Leather

Hello 2014!! How did you sneak up on me so quickly?? I've never been a fan of making new year resolutions but every 6 months, my boyfriend and I sit down and evaluate the goals we have for ourselves, for our relationship and for our son.

One of my biggest goals is to save more money. As a result, I decided to commit to less shopping this year. I don't know how I will get through the shopping withdrawals, so please pray for me!! To help ease the pain, I will give my self 3 shopping passes.

Part of my rehab will include freezing my one and only credit card and opening an online savings account as well. My rationale is by the time the card thaws or the money is transferred all shopping emergencies should have passed! I'll let you know if it works :)

But for the most part, I've decided to start "shopping my own closet," which is full of thrifted and forgotten items. I thrifted this super cute cropped red leather jacket and the acid wash skirt months ago and decided to throw them on for a bday dinner with friends. I swear I looked like 1980 lol I added a graphic tee, a cute clutch and pumps to help modernize the look!

Are you making any changes or coming up with new goals for the year??

Stay tuned,
Eb

  1. I love that jacket! Too cute! I'm trying to cut down on sweets. I could eat an entire cake in one sitting, sigh.

  5. I feel you!! I am working on saving! My friends and I do a clothing swap and shop in each other's closets to save money. I love your jacket. If you have never heard of Deborah Owens she wrote a book called "A Purse of Your Own" and she offers great advice like, instead of buying a Michael Kors bag we should take that money and buy Michael Kors stock!
