Friendsmas and a Little Snow

The holidays can get very chaotic and most of the time it is centered around time spent with family. Every year I take some time out for a few special ladies and celebrate friendsmas. I get together with my girls, have a gift exchange and converse over some really good food. This year we also added a small road trip and snow to the mix!

Before heading to Mount Baldy, we stopped by our favorite breakfast spot, The Pan in Gardena. I got the loaded hash browns with turkey sausage and turkey bacon and pineapple pancakes! Swear it tasted just like a pineapple upside down cake in pancake form!

After eating some good food, we did our gift exchange. This year we had the fun task of finding gifts $15 and under.

Since we are all are working moms, I wanted to create a spa/relaxation gift. Here's what I came up with:

Here's the ladies, all smiles, while opening my gift:

Here's the fab gifts I received:

After eating, we had the itis and needed a nap but instead we hit the road for the 1hr drive to Mount Baldy. Despite wearing leggings, a thermal, a snow bib, fur lines snow boots, a scarf, a hat and a jacket,  nothing could ever prepare me for the cold of the mountains lol I literally stepped out of the car and then rushed back into the car hehe

Snow gear can get expensive so If you are shopping on a budget, I highly sugguest visiting your local thrift store. I found my snow bib for $3 and my jacket for $6 at the thrift.

We snow tubed:

Relaxed (out of breath lol) after pulling our tubes up the hill:

Tried and failed at making a snowman:

Posed for pics:

And rode the scary ski lifts:

We had a such a good time and the view was ahmazing!!!

Gotta love these ladies!! We have been friends for over 14 years and I am looking forward to many more! Do you get together with your friends for the holidays?

Stay tuned,
