Black Friday Smashbox Palette Review

I have to admit, I had the most unconventional black Friday EVER! It started when the bestie and I headed to Walmart. After finding parking we grabbed a shopping cart thinking we would head straight into the store...until we saw that there was a slow moving line wrapped around to the back of the store!

We headed back to the car and decided to go to the mall instead. After going to Target, and grabbing some Starbucks (white hot chocolate with a pump of pumpkin spice and whipped cream), we somehow ended up in Macy's at the MAC counter. Which then turned into getting full makeup applications and purchasing lipstick hehe Did I mention that we wore sweat pants, with oversized tees and flats?? So our made up faces did not match out clothing choices BUT comfort was key!

We then stopped by the fragrance section and smelled Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday perfume. It smelled sooooooooooooo good that we almost purchased it! Instead we walked over to Sephora, buying more makeup that we will probably never wear.

That's when I spotted the Smashbox Master Class Palette and fell in love. I saw the price tag of $59 and thought hmmmm not bad. I held it in my hand as I walked around the store debating. My issue is that I rarely wear makeup! I have an Urban Decay Palette and a Kat Von D Palette and I rarely use either one. So for once rational thinking won and I walked out of the store empty handed. I went into the night thinking I would buy a TV, a Tablet and some Toys. I walked out with some lipstick and Starbucks, what a bust! Swear this is my last year participating in the Black Friday Madness!

I was over it until Sephora decided to send me a $15 off $50 coupon, why oh why!!??? You know I immediately went straight to Sephora and purchased the Smashbox Palette! hehe The palette comes with 28 photo op eyeshadows, 8 cream eyeliners, 2 blushes, 3 soft lights, and 4 lip glosses. Don't you love it?! I like how pigmented the colors are, here are couple of quick finger swatches:

As an added bonus, on my way out of Sephora I stopped by Charlotte Russe. Regular price was $45 but since they were the last pair, I scored these cute wedges for $10:

How was your black Friday? Did you have a black Friday bust (like somebody I know) or did you end up waiting in line for hours and scoring wonderful items??
Stay tuned
